Equipment
We trained on lots of equipment and worked on a good deal more. Can you remember any of it? I was an Air Radio and I can remember training on TR1985, STR18B, IFF10 and Green Satin. I worked on TR1985/6/7, UHF ARC52, Radio Compass ADF7092D, Orange Putter, Gee. There are are some photos below to whet your appetite.
Colin Hinson of the 89th Entry has lots of information about Ground Radar on his website. There are links there to images of radar equipment, associated air publications and aircraft he has photographed. You cab spend a very pleasant hour or two just browsing arouns. One of his links is to the Radar Pages which you may also find interesting. The signals Museum at RAF Henlow (scheduled to be moved) also displays a lot of equipment, mainly ground radar but some of it is air equipment.
Many emebers of the 84th worked on the Bloodhound missile including Stan Folds, Dick Cheeseman, Trog Gillott, Bryan (Jack) Hobbs and Roy O’Connell. There’s a link below to lots of information about Bloodhound missiles:

Colin remembers some of the 84th. He said in an email:
The only person I remember in your entry that has a "now" photo on your site is Danny Boon. Chris Armes was the LA in my billet when we arrived at Locking, and Perce Freeman was next door. "Colonel" Everitt was a CA for the two billets.
